INVASION... WITHIN THE SHADOWS

 The Challenge ~ This months tale takes us back to the World of Shadows from which come the tales of the Black Rose Society. In the story, the world of the supernatural and the world on men have been torn asunder. The spirit of Gaea has been replaced with the spirit of her son known only as the Dark One. It is a story of Fallen Lords, of Great Beasts, of Magistrates and their Imperial Houses. It is also a story of spirits, of elves, of faeries, orcs and trolls... the mythical creatures you are familiar with alongside others which you are not so familiar. Boarmen, barbarians, Black Queens and Dead Kings... and of course, the Grand Masquerade. Your challenge is not to understand the World of Shadows as that is yet to become fully known. Your challenge is to imagine the world of the supernatural, myth and legend as if we do not believe in them only because they have been removed from the world you know. Now... the world of magic and the world of men are thrust back together again so that orcs walk city streets dressed as police officers, faeries who get caught in mason jars by astonished children who thought they caught a firefly and warwitches casting their elemental spells against metal beasts with wheels for legs.
