Maxwell Stein was born possessing a gifted intellect and great things were expected from him by his parents. His personality, however, was exceptionally passive so that he allowed others less deserving to claim the rewards his intellect should have earned for him. Reaching adulthood, he met a young woman named Pamela Andrea Ortega who knew what she wanted and what she wanted most was a partner to share her life with. She was an army brat and a real go-getter who wanted to reach the highest ranks within the military's Special Forces before a catastrophic injury ended her career.

Andrea's drive and ambition allowed her to remain in the military because she had earned a degree in psychiatry to fall back on. It was as a psychiatrist that one of her high ranking clients informed her about Dark Op's and helped her to join its ranks which is when she met Maxwell Stein who was five years younger than her. After the two were wed, Andrea introduced her husband to the world of Dark Op's where his intellect got him noticed and earned for him various degrees gaining for him the title of Professor Maxwell Stein, he held the respect of his peers until the day when he would be horribly injured in an experiment he tried to warn his superiors was not ready to move forward with.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Outfitted with prosthetics, Professor Stein would become overlooked by his superiors who Andrea blamed for his accident. It was because of this that they finally gave him oversight of the shattered remains of a gauntlet belonging to the supervillain Armageddon. No one expected anything from this as all others had failed to unlock its secrets so that they might retro-engineer whatever they could from its technology. Weeks would pass and then months as Maxwell pushed himself past the point of exhaustion determined to succeed where others could not. One night, he finally succumbed to sleep while at his work table with the pieces of this puzzle lain out before him.

When he awoke, he was shocked to discover that his prosthetic arm had been replaced by advanced technologies that had absorbed the gauntlets pieces into it.  He would reason that when he fell asleep, his unconscious mind somehow activated nanites hidden in the technology. His new arm gave him abilities he never dreamed of before this moment and Andrea became worried because Dark Op's was known to betray its own to get what it wanted from them. Using her connections, they made their escape and set up residence in a forgotten supervillain base created in the Colorado countryside by a 1960's supervillain named Werner von Zorn (aka Blitzkrieg) .

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

They then sold their services to the highest bidders and found time to have a daughter named Sylvia who they would learn was born with cybernetically enhanced abilities. She would inherit her father's intellect and her mother's propensity for anger creating a volatile mix that quickly made her a threat to everyone around her. Running away from home at a young age, she adopted the name Mayhem and became a criminal antagonist whose sole desire seemed to be mindless destruction. She had been the final mistake leading Mastermind to seek to undo his wrongful ways possessing the means but not the strategy to make use of it.

While many of those funding their activities were criminal types, there were the wealthy elite as well. One of these left them his personal fortune to thank them for eliminating his newborn grandson's deformities giving him a chance at a normal life. This allowed them to improve their capabilities without being as beholden to others or taking unnecessary risks as some of their clients were extremely dangerous people. Andrea allowed herself to become a cybernetically enhanced Ultrahuman to better protect them both. due to her own injuries and physical limitations. To gain unsuspecting test subjects, a favorite ruse would be to fake alien abductions to covertly aid people with disabilities.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

St Justina is a religious prep school created for the purpose of taking in unwanted and wayward girls. Its stated purpose was to rehabilitate and prepare these girls to become productive members of society. In truth, it was a facade created by a self-styled Anti-Christ known as Cardinal Syn and its true purpose was to take in societies castaways to brainwash them into sleeper agents for the Cult of Alastores. Seeing himself as the avenger of Lucifer, The Chosen were his private army whose purpose is to overthrow world governments and unleash Hell on Earth. Many of these agents would be completely unaware of their programming but the rewards for being "chosen" were immense.

There was also a sense of normalcy during this process and one of these was a program to bring urban children to the rural countryside on road trips. One such trip took a diverse group of girls, from different races and ethnic backgrounds, on a cross country journey where they spent a month on a country farm. As they were returning home, the bus driver became lost and they found themselves traveling up a Colorado mountainside with no place to turn around. Rounding a curve, the road beneath them gave way sending the bus into a ravine breaking apart as it went and exploding when it slammed into a large boulder.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It was the explosion that alerted Professor Maxwell Stein to the accident as his surveillance had monitored the bus but no alarms had been triggered until the crash. Sending his robots to retrieve the bodies and to remove all signs of the accident, Professor Stein knew that no one would discover what happened. This provided him with the opportunity he had been searching for as none of the girls would survive without him or his capabilities to restore life. A transformative process would be set in motion as the girls, and the three adult women with them, would be placed within chambers designed to literally rebuild their torn and broken bodies.

As the girls awakened, they would find themselves free-floating within these chambers and unable to move. Masks were strapped to their faces that provided a user interface for Professor Stein to introduce himself as Mastermind and his wife Pamela as Mother. They would not see the various wires and tubes that provided life functions but they could use the human interface device to entertain themselves. First to be released would be Amanda Vargas as she was the least injured of the girls. Amanda was shocked to see the condition of her classmates as each were in various states of cybernetic enhancement with one being little more than a floating head.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Each of the girls would undergo further surgery, genetic engineering, cybernetic alteration and other enhancements using synthetics. Amanda was given the codename Artisan because she had always wanted to be a doctor and proved a quick study of the tasks required of her. Knowledge in human anatomy, medicine, surgery, robotics, and synthetic augmentation were provided to her via a cerebral implant that was part of her own cybernetic enhancement. As each of the girls was released from the chambers that held them, they would begin training to right the wrongs of the world and to protect humanity from its own evil.

The girls accepted their fate as what other choice did they have when it seemed no one in the world wanted them except for these two adults who assumed a position of being adoptive parents. This "parent/child" relationship would prove to be a genuine one as the Steins wanted children but had learned how dangerous this could be with the birth of their own daughter Mayhem. The Steins treated them like family, provided them with a purpose to their existence and taught them to love one another which was another thing missing in their lives. As the process continued, their abilities would be tailored to their personalities and each would be given a new codename as their identity.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Their transformation not only included cybernetic enhancements as Mastermind also wielded the ability to alter their genetic code turning each into Mutates, Ultrahumans with powers and abilities granted to them by their DNA. The girls would be trained to meet force with force. This would include killing when necessary but they would also be trained to maim rather than to kill and neutralize the threat permanently such as severing hands. For this reason, each carries mini-balls with a substance called "goop" in them which literally melts flesh to seal such injuries to save lives while also serving as weapons capable of killing if used on an adversary's face.

None of the Cybergirls would know where their hidden base lay because Mastermind employs teleportation devices to send them to and from their locations. As time passed, the original Cybergirls grew into adults. Some remained with the team, some left only to be replaced by others and some would form a new team called Counterstryke which Mastermind would also support. Dark Op's would eventually discover the Cybergirls lair and arrangements were made by John Prester himself to form an alliance granting them access to Dark Op's resources in exchange for their services. There have been twenty-two Cybergirls in all but no more than seven at any given time.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Operation Brooklyn Heights
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The first appearance of the Cybergirls in action came in Brooklyn Heights, New York City where a group of terrorists had taken over a school with enough explosives to destroy half the city. When city leaders failed to meet terrorist demands, a botched rescue attempt resulted in several deaths and a drug-crazed fanatic ready to detonate their explosives. Renewed gunfire followed by hostages pouring through an emergency exit revealed that someone else had engaged the terrorists. When the chaos ended, police re-entered the building to find the terrorists either dead or mutilated rendering them ineffective as a threat.

Hostages informed law enforcement that a group of girls appeared out of nowhere hitting the terrorists hard and fast. They cut the terrorists off from their explosives and left them either dead or maimed so that police re-entering the building found the threat neutralized. One of the older girls knocked a terrorist through a wall where he detonated a suicide vest and she walked away with only her clothes destroyed. When the media learned that video surveillance from inside the building revealed the girls appeared to be cyborgs, they praised them for their effectiveness and dubbed them the Cybergirls!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Operation Chicago
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Days after the events of Brooklyn Heights, the Cybergirls would again make headlines when police were pushed beyond the breaking point in Chicago. A turf war erupted between rival gangs trying to exploit this and resulted in police in neighboring departments being called into the worst-hit areas. Before they arrived, reports of gangbangers being found with horrific injuries began pouring in requiring more paramedics than police to handle the growing number of emergencies. Whoever was doing this wanted to send a message as they weren't killing anyone but they were maiming them so that they would never be a threat to anyone ever again.

The Cybergirls were after more than stopping the gangbangers and exposed city leaders in the employ of a black market kingpin known as the Hatemonger. He was using racial unrest and violence to enrich himself but he managed to escape by turning the Cybergirls against one another for a few short moments. Reporters at the scene of one of the battles found a Cybergirl named Breaker who had just broken both arms and legs of a gangbanger. Unlike in Brooklyn Heights, she let them watch and told them how it wasn't the guns that killed people, it was the hands and the arms holding the gun that created the threat!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Operation Tokyo
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Two weeks after the events in Chicago, the Cybergirls were in Tokyo at war with a group of supervillains calling themselves the Raijū (Thunder beast). This time, the Cybergirls fought a different style of battle relying on new powers they had not revealed earlier and using non-lethal force. After the battle, the Japanese-American member of the Cybergirls called Yūrei (Ghost) gave an interview explaining their use of violence as meeting force with force. The Raijū were not killers but needed to be stopped before their actions caused the deaths of others.

They were known as Saibāgāruzu in Japan and their preference for bladed weapons fit well with the culture. Deciding to remain in Japan for a time, the Cybergirls found themselves battling threats like Oda Nobunaga in Japan and Shì Xiù Huang (Dìyùwūyā, Hellraven) across the Sea of Japan in China. They became especially well-known for battling the Onmaraki who served Hellraven as these were often undead warriors who died in the prime of life and were exceptionally skilled warriors when living. It was in Japan where they increasingly battled Ultrahumans representing greater and more powerful threats.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Operation Ontario
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After leaving Japan, the Cybergirls next appear in Ontario, Quebec in Canada where the Canadian government had created Project Northstar to target extraordinary threats to the Canadian people. Operating on behalf of the Canadian Security Intelligence Service, Northstar gathered information on anyone believed to be connected to Ultrahumans due to the threats they had proven to be and the damage they had done to cities like Ontario. One of these threats was a group of similarly powered boys called Cyberpunx operating for a worldwide Communist organization called Red Dawn who were dedicated to the rebirth of the former Soviet Union.

They easily outclassed the Cyberpunx due to their superior training and teamwork. But when the Cyberpunx leader Mayhem entered the fray, it was the Cybergirls who faltered. Mayhem's cybernetic abilities are enhanced beyond most Ultrahumans possessing the ability to mimic each of the Cybergirls enhanced abilities and some of their genetic powers. They would defeat Mayhem only because Sister Payne intervened with a powerful shoulder cannon injuring Mayhem so badly that she fled leaving the Cyberpunx to be taken into custody. This would not be their last run-in with Mayhem and the Cyberpunx who only became more skilled and deadly over time.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Operation Scotland
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

When the Cybergirls ventured to Scotland a few years later, several members of the team were heavily damaged by a villain called Matrix who could multiply himself and quickly adapt each duplicate to counter his opponents. The Three Amigas were all called into play to save them and even then it took Mastermind himself to short circuit the technologies used by the villain to stop him. Four new Cybergirls would be set free from containment to help compensate while those damaged in the battle were forced back into containment to heal. Two Scottish bystanders who had been seemingly killed by Matrix would be secured for their return and placed in containment as well. After the battle, Mayhem emerged to find a sole surviving piece of Matrix (possibly his liver) and made one of her more inept Cyberpunx a host for it and her future plans for it.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Cybersuits
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As mentioned, the Cybergirls primary powers come from their cybernetics but some are born with powers or abilities and others were mutated by Mastermind to create biological enhancements. Another series of enhancements comes from various damaged devices and powersuits provided by Dark Op's after they were done with them. They had gathered these from various Ultrahumans they either employed or "dealt with" and could not effect repairs having learned what they could from them. Mastermind could still make use of these items by using his nanites to repair or merge them together into something new for his Cybergirls and repaid Dark Op's with his work for them or sending the Cybergirls on Dark Op's missions.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mastermind
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Professor Stein (Real Name; Maxwell Stein aka Mastermind, Hair; Black, Age; 48, Caucasian American) is founder of the Cybergirls and one of the more powerful humans on planet Earth. In his possession is the original future tech gauntlet wielded by Armageddon possessing various powers and abilities which it grants to him. First among these is the ability to create nanites which he understands and controls to a great degree but there is always a chance for error. His genius IQ was greatly increased by the future tech and while it replaced his right arm, this tech has spread throughout his entire body. His powers include the ability to control gravity, to manipulate magnetism, to pass on his nanites to others and to generate intense levels of concussive force. Like mother, he possesses certain psionic abilities like biokinesis and Clairvoyance although his abilities are far inferior to his wifes.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mother
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mother (real Name; Pamela Andrea Ortega, Hair; Brown, Age; 45, Caucasian American) is the name Pamela chose for herself as her role with the Cybergirls is to nurture them and to oversee their activities. She has been enhanced to where she has various psionic abilities and powers such as astral projection, telepathy, psychokinesis and numerous other abilities she is still exploring. While her body is intact, she has numerous cybernetic implants to aid her and can connect to almost any computer using electrokinesis. Her powersuit magnifies her abilities to a point where she has limited abilities with conjuration, psychic surgery and remote viewing. Should anyone not heed warnings not to threaten her, her powersuit generates heat which she transforms using pyrokinesis granting her the ability to create and control fire.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
MEDICAL JOURNAL
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Each of the Cybergirls underwent a process which blended organic flesh with cybernetics and synthetic augmentation that took time to achieve cohesion. The brain is less adaptable and needs time to adjust to the trauma of cybernetic enhancement and its new biomechanical configuration. Once this was achieved, replacing their cybernetics afterward would be a relatively simple process and they would only need to re-enter containment unless significant damage were done to their bodies that required more time to recover. The metal their bodies were made from was Kyrelium, a super-metal with organic properties to move and bend like flesh but which is as harder to damage as titanium steel and nonmagnetic.

Kyrelium is a more advanced form of Adamantine (aka diadamite), a form of metal created from industrial-grade diamonds (and other substances like aluminum) to create a glass-like substance that is nearly indestructible. It is mostly used to coat or replace the bones of the Cybergirls because of its organic qualities. But the real secret to what the Cybergirls have become are nanites which heal, regenerate and alter their bodies as they naturally matured into adults. The category of First Gen; Cybersapien originates with Mastermind and are destined to become the perfect killing machines in the future.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Cybergirls are classified as Ultrahumans because they possess powers and abilities normal humans do not possess. Some are more advanced than others and more powerful while others are far more lethal. Mutagen X241 is a chemical that has been in development for decades going back to the First World War and was used with some of the Cybergirls to transform them into Mutates. Being "Mutates" means that these genetic abilities were artificially induced and take a physical toll which exhausts them so that they use these abilities sparingly.

However, tampering with their DNA resulted in unlocking powers that already existed but lay dormant within their systems so that these girls would be true Mutants, demons and even demi-gods. In these cases, their powers are not so limited and they might not even need cybernetic enhancements to make battle with their enemies. There are Cybergirls still in their containment chambers because more have been added to the group over time and a few have been "regrown" meaning they were killed or destroyed but their DNA matrix was recreated from leftover body parts.

In some cases, their bodies have been fully restored to their organic state with few signs they had ever been Cybergirls and at least twice they had such girls return to be transformed back into Cybergirls. Each of the Cybergirls possesses the ability to generate force fields around themselves and others within standing range to protect them for limited periods. While their powers differ, each possesses a bladed weapon at least as a backup to their primary weapons and similar abilities like night-vision.

Original Team

Javelin (Real Name; Émilie LaForge, Hair; Brown, Age 25, Caucasian American/French) was an athlete who had her entire life ahead of her when a home invasion gone wrong resulted in her being shot in the back of the head and thrown from the third-story railing of her home. Although near death, she would survive with a bullet in her brain and a shattered right arm that had to be amputated. After this, she would be diagnosed with Sensory Processing Disorder where her sense of physical touch no longer functioned properly. Her remaining senses worked correctly but if she were touching something she either wouldn't feel it or it was as if a different part of her body doing the touching.

Émilie could still feel her missing arm because she was experiencing phantom sensations but, other than this, she was rendered rather clumsy leading to additional injuries and she grew to hate her body because nothing ever felt right again. After the bus accident, Shannon awoke to feel her body as if nothing were wrong with her and it was no longer clouded by the drugs used to deal with her health issues. Yet, she was not free and could only communicate through the interface encasing her head... for that was all that survived of Émilie. Her body had been totally destroyed leaving only her head which had been shielded by the body of one of the other girls.

The last of the original Cybergirls to be released from containment, Émilie adjusted quickly to her robotic body. It was designed to provide tactile sensory input which her mind linked to the phantom sensations of her former healthy body. The bullet had been removed from her brain which was then repaired by nanites and given cybernetic implants allowing her to control technology as if it were an extension of her own body. Taking her new identity from the collapsible weapons she would become known for, her body became an advanced weapons system called Javelin Systems 1 with several suits of armor and machines each also called Javelin but with different number designations.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Lynx (Real Name; Ainsley Raign, aka Zhooniyaa-Bizhiw; Native American,/Ojibwe, Hair; Black, Age; 28) was a feral child found in the Canadian wilds of Alberta by hunters. Taken to St. Justina, her identity was discovered because she remembered her father killing her mother and leaving her to die in the wilderness. But she had not died because a female Canadian lynx adopted Amelia to replace her own offspring that had died before the Fall of that year. Ainsley was a violent child who often had to be muzzled to keep her from biting people and when her baby teeth came out, they were replaced by teeth that were decidedly more like those of the lynx that had saved her.

Ainsley would be labeled a psychopath suffering from clinical lycanthropy because she thought of herself more as an animal even to the point of devouring other living creatures. Yet, it would be milk chocolate that calmed her and allowed her to control her "animal side" because of the phenylethylamine it contains. After the accident, around 40% of her body was replaced by cybernetics and mutated by Mastermind (at her request) to grant her lynx-like Therian attributes out of respect to the creature that saved her life. This included acute hearing and stereoscopic vision to better sense the unseen in her surroundings granting her many advantages over her adversaries.

Lynx is a far better combatant at low light or under nocturnal conditions than by day, can leap up to 36 feet and her reconstructed adamantine forehead possesses a lynx-head stone that provides an explosive headbutt. Each phalanx bone in her hands and feet possesses a retractable, razor-sharp adamantine blade with the largest blades being retracted into her hands until projecting out above the knuckles. Her firearms of choice are .50 caliber like the Desert Eagle and the GM6 Lynx heavy assault sniper rifle (of course). Although trained to use firearms, Lynx prefers her teeth and "claws" to fight with using basic martial arts skills to increase these abilities.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Reaper (Real Name; Genetta Jones, Hair; Red, Age; 27, Caucasian American/English) was a daddy's girl whose curiosity about his interests led to her experimenting with dead animals at a young age which greatly alarmed her parents. Thinking they had a serial killer in the making, they took her to doctors who medicated her and created a psychosis where she began cutting herself. Diagnosed with self-inflicted violence disorder, her parents would be accused of neglect and their custody revoked leading to Genetta arriving at St. Justina. Although gravely injured in the accident, she insisted she be allowed to watch them repairing her body and emerged from containment relatively intact.

Her spine had been shattered and disconnected from her brain requiring an adamantine casing and rebuild. When she emerged from containment, Genetta found that her limbs were covered by an exodermal sheathing allowing them to function properly with her new spine. Originally called Ripper, her hands and feet were equipped with three retractable blades on each having two short, disposable blades that can be hurled like rotary blades with the force of a rifle blast. The third blade on each projected horizontally like large daggers with one having belonged to Jack the Ripper himself that "talks" to her.

Genetta would undergo further augmentation when she had Mastermind mutated her with the DNA of an Australovenator allowing her to take on some of the creature's attributes such as its eyes, tongue, teeth, claws and growing a tail in extreme cases. Her strength, agility and speed increase as her mutation increases while her mental abilities decline. The name Reaper evolved when she began using custom weapons firing high caliber machine gun rounds and shotgun blasts making her an angel of death. Perhaps it's ironic then that she began training in gymnastics, ballet and kickboxing to make her a more "artful" killer.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ghost (Real Name; Kimyko Osaka aka Yūrei, Hair; Black, Age; 27, Asian American/Japanese) was placed in St. Justina to hide her from Yakuza assassins killing her family members. She was a playful, good-natured child always reveling in pranks, making jokes and playing games like hide-and-go-seek at which she excelled. In the accident, Kimyko's body became caught in the explosion and was found within a crumpled mass of metal. Only her head, part of her torso and left arm survived undamaged leaving her clinically dead. Placing her in life-restoring chemicals would bring her back and when she was released from containment, over 80% of her body had been replaced with cybernetics.

Her main weapon is a battle staff that can become nunchakus packing an electric punch and her secondary weapons are a pair of Sais. Although trained to use weapons, Kimyko was not a killer and has only done so incidentally. Her original power was to become invisible from the outside in which made some uneasy and others actually became sick. This transformation was actually a holographic illusion as most of her body is biomechanical yet the effect makes her internal structure look normal. Her powers of stealth meant she didn't have to kill because her enemies couldn't see her and at worst she maimed people who left her no choice.

After defeating a villain called Scourge, she took a gemstone from his forehead and kept it for her own. Mastermind would conceal the gemstone within her adamantine body structure and placed a faux white one on her forehead allowing her to cast holographic projections. She could now see the Spiritworld, experience it and touch spirits becoming the only member of the team capable of dealing with such threats. Ghost cant make others invisible or intangible to the touch as these powers don't work on organics. But they do work on inorganic materials such as weapons (like her specially modified Beretta U22 Neos Spirit Gun) which can then harm spectral threats.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Rock (Real Name; Maria Christina Roca aka Frankenstein, Hair; Black, Age; 29, Hispanic American/Mexican) was a bully who grew up on the mean streets as a criminal. Abnormally strong and tall, she was accepted as older than she was and killed a man at 15 leading to her placement in St. Justina. The bus accident saw the outer layer of her skin destroyed by first degree burns, her forearms were completely blasted away, her spinal cord was destroyed, she suffered massive internal damage and the left side of her body suffered significantly. Unlike many of the others, when she was released she was thrilled by what had been done to her as she always imagined herself to be a freak.

While she had been a bully, she had never been a coward and even had a protective side about her where she saved others from real harm. Maria suffered from a form of self-loathing which made her hate anyone she saw as being accepted as better than her... which was pretty much everyone. Skin grafts from the other girls made her a patchwork of flesh tones leading her to adopt the nickname of Frankenstein because she saw the humor in what befell her. Calling herself Brawl, she was the brawn of the team having strength enhancement built into her body by the nanites until being hurled into molten granite which seemed to consume her.

But, when the molten stone cooled, Maria broke free having been changed further now possessing flesh made to look like living stone and possessing super strength. When she rejoined the Cybergirls, she took the new identity of Rock based on both her appearance and her real last name which many already called her anyway. Instead of blades, Rock has spikes that come from her arms that can punch through almost anything and work well with her power punches. Where the other Cybergirls carry bladed weapons, Rock carries an oversized chain sometimes worn on her fists, sometimes used as a whip and sometimes with a wrecking ball attached.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mankiller (Real Name; Trahlyta Tali-Koga (Two-Crow) aka Gvhnige-agasgv (Black Rain), Hair; Black, Age; 23, Cherokee) was born crying black tears leading her tribe to see her as a portent of coming evil. Fearing their daughter would be killed by fellow Cherokee who believed in this nonsense, her parents fled to start new lives elsewhere only to die under mysterious circumstances. Left in foster care, Trahlyta was placed in St. Justina because bad things seemed to follow her and her anger became increasingly difficult for her to control. When the accident happened, Trahlyta should have been crushed beneath the bus had something unseen not provided her with some level of protection.

While in her containment chamber, Mother summoned a Cherokee medicine man to explore the readings she was getting from Trahlyta which were off the chart in regard to her spirit energy. He determined that she was possessed by an Asgina (demon), a type of Skeenah or spirit of a slain black bear reborn in human form. It could not be removed because it was her actual soul and the bad luck that seemed to follow her was the spirit seeking vengeance on the humans that had wronged it. It was the shaman who gave her the name Asgaya-dihi (Mankiller) for this reason and he would work with her to try taming the beast within her.

When released from containment, the only external signs of her cybernetics were her eyes (as both had been destroyed) but significant parts of her skeletal structure had been enhanced. Her greatest power would be supernatural in nature as she could become an enormous bear whose morphology was more human in form and whose bones absorbed her cybernetics so they transform with her. She was still prone to mindless rage when angered but now possesses the strength and senses of a black bear at her disposal making her far more dangerous. Her primary weapons are a pair of adamantine tomahawks that almost sing as they swish through the air, a powerful sniper rifle and the ability to create an energy bow that creates as many different types of arrows.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thundra (Real Name; Natalia Gromýko, aka Tonya Redding, Shocker, Hair; Red, Age; 24 Caucasian) was born with the ability to create static electricity so much so that her mother had a heart attack giving birth and her doctor received multiple shocks trying to deliver her. People tried to avoid touching her because of the mild shock they received and electronics often became damaged by her presence. Running away from home to escape the scientists trying to learn what caused this, Natalia found her way to St. Justina who agreed to give her a new identity and found ways to help prevent her ability to discharge static electricity.

When the accident happened, her injuries caused a massive discharge of electricity from her body that ignited the bus's fuel tank causing the explosion. Mastermind recognized the need to isolate her because the power readings emanating from her body were off the chart and had to be siphoned away. Mastermind discovered that her body was exceptionally tough to work with and while he didn't know what she was, he did know she wasn't human. While her organics were dense and tough, her bones were as normal as any other humans and completely shattered. If not for her body being as durable as it was, nothing would have been left of her to be put back together.

Calling her Shocker, Natalia's bone structure had been completely rebuilt and reinforced by a kyrelium/adamantine mix thus eliminating their weakness. Her external cybernetics were mostly for costuming and controlling her powers which she focused through her hands. Her favorite weapon would be a whip that both channeled her energy and made an explosive cracking sound that could have a devastating effect on its Natalia was to learn that she was actually a demi-goddess descended from a Slavic ancestor called Grom, a thundergod known more for lightning striking from the ground up than the sky down and for which she changed her identity to Thundra.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Angélus (Real Name: Valérie Darcisse aka Zombie-Girl, Hair; Black, Age; 25, African American/Haitian) was born in Belladère, Haiti and arrived in the US when her parents immigrated illegally into the country. When they were deported, Valérie was left at St. Justina hoping she would not be discovered so that she could grow up as an American. Raised as a practitioner of Vodou, she would be ridiculed as a chicken killer by fellow students, but found a sympathetic shoulder from Sister Fabiola Saincelert who called her Angel. In the accident, Émilie became impaled high in a broken tree severing her spine and seemingly ending her life by destroying her lungs and heart.

When she emerged from containment, her right arm and ribcage had been replaced with cybernetics and her primary weapon was an energy chakram which slashed through her targets. Although weak, she did possess true powers of Vodou which had unexpected side effects as her nanites created a dark matter reactor in her chest and began building a suit of armor around her. Color-coded to the armor, she can create wings that vastly augment her powers even beyond her control but, without the wings, her powers become diminished. The armor can generate force fields over a wider area but most often falters leaving her with her original abilities.

Without her armor; she is left with her cybernetic arm to create solid energy chakrams and her "White Devil" costume with its outlines for where her different configurations of armor will appear. Her white Ascension configuration creates blinding flashes, holographic illusions and solid energy sword. Her red Devil configuration provides a horned devils mask, forked tail, the ability to create fireballs, to spit fire, to generate intense optical head beams and wields a bladed pitchfork. Her black Death configuration appears almost invisible, creates a skull mask, allows her to drain energy, to teleport as a black mist and increases her abilities with Vodou magick.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mech (Real Name; Amanda Vargas aka Artisan/Le Mécanicien/The Mechanic, Hair Black, Age; 30, Caucasian) was born into a volatile family environment where her parents had more children than they could care for leading to her becoming a caregiver. Amanda had dreams of becoming a doctor and, because that seemed unrealistic, of being a technician or auto mechanic. To make this dream more of a possibility, her mother placed her with her Great Uncle whose wife had died and his adult children had moved away. He was an abusive man and when she wanted to return home, she found that her parents had moved into a smaller home and had another baby on the way.

Although abusive, her Great Uncle placed her in St. Justina hoping they could give her a better life which he was unfit to offer. She helped wherever she could at St. Justina working in the cafeteria, working on vehicles, fixing electronics and helping the nursing staff trying to learn from them. It was for this reason that she was on the bus when the accident happened and why she was the first to be released from containment as Mastermind had need of her skills. Mastermind implanted a cybernetic artificial intelligence called Mona into the left side of her skull which she often speaks to and interfaces with the monocle device she uses to give her many different optical scanning abilities.

Given the name Artisan because of her skills and artistic abilities, she possesses a love for the steampunk subculture with distinctly 19th century style. She adds a bit of this into everything she creates including her devices, weapons and costumes. Amanda had lost her right leg, a few fingers, and left eye with a long scar from her right leg to the top left of her head. Her right arm is equipped with various lasers, drills and medical chemicals injected from needles in her fingertips. She changed her name to Mech to better sum up her abilities and has further increased her cybernetic enhancements often revealed by the twinkling lights under her skin.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
THE THREE AMIGAS
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

When the bus accident happened, there were three "Sisters" (nuns) on the bus there to oversee the girls and to handle some affairs on behalf of St. Justina while on the trip. Although not Cybergirls themselves, they are part of the organization created by Mastermind to oversee the Cybergirls and Counterstryke operations. Called The Three Amigas, each is generally more powerful than the Cybergirls by design to increase the shock and awe of their attack for maximum impact.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sister Payne (Real Name; Rebecca Reid, Hair; Black, Age 39, Caucasian American) is the one most often called upon to help the Cybergirls when they're in trouble. She was an explosives engineer and an expert in rocketry before an accident left her right arm useless. She came to St. Justina where she became a nun overseeing the general welfare of its prep students while her private life was one of certain... indulgences. Rebecca was on the bus when the accident happened because these indulgences had been exposed and it was necessary to remove her from St. Justina until things could be smoothed over by any means necessary.

After the accident, she discovered that her entire skeletal structure and most of her internal organs had been replaced by cybernetics. Her brain was encased within a cybernetic shell that was itself semi-autonomous and could exist apart from its body. This body is similar in ways to Mayhems "body-shell" but it is a more primitive design as close as possible to that the Steins daughter possesses. She is often outfitted with heavy weapons designed to inflict maximum damage and is often referred to as a living tank because she has a built-in plasma cannon embedded in her chest and the ability to plow over and through her opponents.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sister Light (Real Name: Carmalita Briçianos, aka Salvation, Hair; Blonde, Age; 42, Caucasian American) was brainwashed by Cardinal Syn but became mentally unstable and developed MPD. Carmalita was blessed with the ability to heal but cursed in that she draws whatever affliction she heals into herself where her own body heals her. She cannot regenerate anything that is missing so when the accident happened, her body could only preserve her life but not replace the parts of her body that were destroyed. Fortunately, those parts of her body that survived but had been torn away by the explosion easily grafted themselves back to her body on their own without the need for outside influences.

Her right foot and lower left leg are all that were replaced with cybernetics because of her healing power. A unique aspect of her cybernetics is that her right hand was salvaged but much of her lower right forearm was destroyed so that her right hand stand apart from her body but remains functional because of her cybernetics. The right side of her body would be encased by cybernetic exo-armor which has extended itself via circuits running across her body. Her exo-armor grants her the power to generate light similar to Angélus but for pure destructive power when called into battle. Sister Light is often called in to render healing aid but there is always a danger as too much pain drawn into herself can release split personalities like Schachepheth (White Death) who creates afflictions rather than removing them.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sister Soul (Real Name; Fabiola Saincelert, Hair; Black, Age; 43 Black American/Angolan) came to St. Justina during the Angolan Civil War as a war orphan first taken to Portugal and then later to the United States. Raised at St. Justina, it was found that she could not be turned into what they wanted which proved problematic. But the girls at St. Justina listened to her and trusted her so that she was useful in other ways they could exploit and she was often included on trips to keep the girls in line and from running away. When the accident happened, the entire outer part of her body would be replaced with a cybernetic shell integrating her flesh directly into it.

She was the first to have her entire external frame replaced from head to toe because her body was designed for a specific purpose. Mastermind had discovered an enormous robot created by Zorn but which had never been completed. He used his future tech abilities on the robot to totally transform it using 25th-century technology into an enormous combat mecha that can teleport over short distances appearing in unexpected places as if it had always been there.  She took the name Sister Soul partly from her experiences with Vodou and partly because she was the soul of this giant mecha she calls Johnny Boy because she didn't like calling it Behemoth.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
MAYHEM
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mayhem (Real Name; Sylvia Stein, Hair; Black, Age 37, Caucasian American) often calls herself the "first" true Cybergirl even though she was obviously never a member. She cannot absorb any foreign technology directly into herself but she can mimic any technologies she comes in contact with externally into her cybersuit. There are certain technologies she was born with such as complex scanning abilities to better understand her surroundings and to better calculate her observations. Another ability is to create and control light as powerful optic lasers, holographic projections and to fashion it into non-technological or mechanical solid energy objects no larger than her own body mass.

Yet, for all her power, Mayhem was born with Osteogenesis Imperfecta (Brittle Bone Disease) so that her bone structure is weak and vulnerable to breaking easily. While her powers compensate by repairing and regenerating her body should it be damaged, they cannot protect her bones from breakage and she deals with constant pain as a result.  This also leaves her vulnerable to concussive force that can shatter her bones but, otherwise, she lives up to her name as a bringer of chaos who has vulnerabilities but heals rapidly. Mayhems height distracts her as she grew to be no more than five feet tall and while she matured as a woman, she's often seen as a child.

Because of her height and brittle bones, Mayhem created a bio-shell that stands almost seven feet tall and has the appearance of the woman she wishes she were. It is a powerful body created to be more of a weapon and because it is also cybernetic, it can bleed and mimic almost every human physical condition. She can control this bio-shell remotely with her mind so that destroying it does not necessarily mean she has been harmed in any way. She actually created several bio-shells each bigger than the last like Russian Matryoshka dolls so that if one is destroyed, she has another although it will be smaller.

Various Members (Since the original team formed)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Death Adder (Real Name; Mòrag Gair, Hair; Black, Age; 19, Caucasian Scottish) was the daughter a Sineater known as Black Annis (aka Black Agnes; Sister Agnes) who abandoned her at St. Justina in the UK. Fleeing her fate, a villain called Matrix sensed her power and enveloped her within an energy construct of himself during his battle with the Cybergirls. Having been caught in the full explosive force delivered by Sister Payne, Mòrag was torn to pieces and taken out of the battle where Mastermind found her. When she was released from containment ten years later, she was no older than the day she went in, but her mind had remained active and maturing during this time.

Angry that she still possessed the body of a thirteen-year-old, being a Cybergirl was something she looked forward to as it defied the fate chosen for her for the one she chose for herself. Mòrag was to learn that her Sineater parentage had cursed her as while she as she was named after a loch monster but was now skinless like the Nuckelavee and there was nothing Mastermind could do to stop it. What he would do was cover her body with a synthetic flesh and cybernetic sheathing that has to undergo regular repairs requiring her to re-enter containment when she sleeps. She knew her father because she inherited memories from her mother of them coupling before she killed him.

Taking the name Daith Adder, she thought to honor the Australian father whose Scottish heritage proudly flowed through her veins and whose grave she had visited often. She also inherited certain abilities from her mother such as the ability to deceive and manipulate men which she tries to use to achieve her ends without the need to kill. She also possesses a type of bloodstone on her forehead that grants her the bizarre ability to dissolve skin away by her touch when it alights. For weapons, she uses a pair of commando knives, a Taurus 1911 built into her right leg for when a firearm might be needed and  cybernetic teeth with fangs that can deliver a deadly, poisonous bite.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Riptide (Real Name; Isla Sinclair aka; Maighdean Mhara; Hair; Blond, Age; 16, Caucasian Scottish) was discovered in a trawling net off the shores of Shetland being newly born with the fishermen swearing her Finfolk mother had cut herself free before they could reach her. Isla would be taken from the fishermen and raised by Dark Op's agents who treated her like their own but were specially trained to raise Ultrahuman children. Watching the battle between Matrix and the Cybergirls from what should have been a safe distance, Matrix sensed her powers. Enveloped within an energy construct, she had no choice but to fight and suffered numerous injuries that almost killed her.

Isla and another girl named Mòrag would be taken by Mastermind who found that Isla had already begun to mutate while a prisoner of Matrix. She would undergo further changes in containment as her skin turned grey, her hands became webbed, her teeth became like those of a shark and her hair became black as would her eyes. Both shoulders, her collar bone, and breast bone had all been replaced while her arms were rebuilt with a blade that projects from the side of each arm and new flesh was successfully grown over her cybernetics. But when she emerged from containment, it wasn't the cybernetic enhancements that made her cry as they had nothing to do with her mutations.

The cybersuit that generates around her was originally a skinsuit designed to hydrate her skin by absorbing moisture from the air around her when she's away from water for too long. It could leave behind a thin veneer creating the appearance of tan skin and blond hair similar to her original appearance. Mastermind later came into possession of a damaged powersuit worn by the villain Stingray which he gave Isla to wear within containment where nanites repaired and integrated it into her existing cybersuit. From this; she gained the ability to bend water to her will, to propel herself through it like the fastest torpedo and eject a barbed venomous whip-like tail.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Scarlet (Real Name; Cordelia Lee aka "Reb", Hair; Red, Age 14, Caucasian American) was a student of history with a love for the Antebellum South, the Confederacy, Southern Rock and, although not a direct descendant, her esteemed ancestor Robert E. Lee. Her stepmother disapproved of this and, believing Cordelia was becoming a racist, placed her in boarding school in a community called Devil's Lake. Cordelia did not understand why the things she liked made her a racist as she didn't hate anybody... but was beginning to grow angry with idiotic political beliefs like her stepmother's which had landed her here.

Mean-spirited teens playing cruel pranks summoned the spirit of a Mishipizheu unleashing a legendary serial slasher. When Cordelia regained her senses, she found herself in a containment chamber with a digital interface strapped to her head being greeted by Mother. She explained that Cordelia was the lone survivor and that she had been rescued by Dark Op's agents known as the Men In Black who had heard her screams. After emerging from containment, she went to work for Sister Soul as a mechanic for her giant mecha Behemoth (aka Johnny Boy) possessing a near-genius aptitude for computer technologies and repairing mechanical devices.

She would also work beside Mech with the other Cybergirls, she gained the nickname "Reb" because she prominently displays her Southern heritage. Her only cybernetics are her left arm and implants behind each ear allowing her to interface with any computer. While reluctant to kill, the demon that attacked her was now within her and it had no such scruples when it began to emerge. While given the ability to control it by Mother, it can physically alter her with a set of bison horns on her head, a long serpentine tail, serpent scales along her back, a mouthful of poisonous teeth, night vision and took the name Scarlet because her retractable black claws were often stained with blood when fighting.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Fury (Real Name; Konstantina Alexina Tantarós, Hair; Black, Age; 16, Caucasian Greek) was with her father on an underwater archaeological expedition when they came upon criminals illegally removing Minoan antiquities. Her father was a hotheaded man who chose to confront the thieves resulting in his death and his ship being destroyed by explosives. Konstantina was aboard the ship when the explosion took place and while she would be rescued, she would lay in a coma for three years. Her Grandfather would contact Mastermind after all other efforts failed to revive Konstantina because his sole remaining child died from cancer leaving his granddaughter as his only surviving heir.

Konstantina awakened during a procedure that caused her intense pain and when she was released from containment, she would find that a substantial part of her body was now cybernetic because the explosion had damaged her body severely. Like her father, she had a volatile personality preferring to fight rather than to flee confrontation and she especially saw herself as a defender of men possibly out of love for her father. Her Grandfather was another matter as he had been a brutal father and the only reason he used his Dark Op's connections to help her was that he was now alone in the world with no other family.

Taking the name Fury, she trained herself in Krav Maga and pankration, a vicious form of martial art was designed to literally rip another person apart with your bare hands, to disable, disfigure.or kill. Konstantina also mastered the kopis, a short curved sword often used similar to an ax and which did such horrendous damage. All four of her limbs were at least partially destroyed and she became particularly fond of the MP5 submachine gun in battle. Given a powersuit formerly worn by the villain Sundevil, she has the ability to create superheated plasma and fire which also grants her the ability to fly.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Kusarigama (Real Name; Nakamura Kagome, Hair; Black, Age; 15 Asian Japanese) was a young yoyo champion from Gamagōri, Japan who enjoyed cosplay and dance which she often worked into her competition routine. She was also an amateur J-pop singer when one of the battles between the Raijū and the Cybergirls erupted. Their employer had added new members to the Raijū that they created using an earlier variant of Mutagen X241 and one of these was an extremely deadly character called San no katamari (Acid Blob). During the battle, he attacked Kagome because he hated pretty things and left her dissolving in his acidic vomit.

Artisan came to her rescue slashing away the acid and providing the medical care that saved her life. But she was going to need extensive care that only Mastermind could provide so that she requested an emergency teleport from the scene to place Kagome into a containment chamber. There she would remain for years until her mind fully recovered from the trauma of what she had been through with Mother's aid. Trained in virtual reality, she was ready for battle when she was released and took her new name from the powerful weapon she had been given... the kusarigama (鎖鎌 chain sickle).

Her first action would be one of personal vengeance as she sought after San no katamari using Mastermind's computers to locate him at a hidden Dark Op's base in the Gobi Desert where she literally punched through his heart. Her left side, right foot and most of her internal organs had dissolved away before Artisan rescued her. Her organs were regrown from cloned material explaining the additional time but her limbs were replaced with cybernetics. Her weapon can be whirled super fast generating force fields, cutting and smashing through materials, used for climbing, choking and wrapped around her arm providing her with a "super-punch" attack!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Redwing (Real Name; Zhāng Ninghong aka Chuí, Hair; Black, Age; 21, Asian Chinese) was given the nickname Jǐnjī (Golden Pheasant) at birth because she was a golden-haired child with a slightly reddish skin tone. Such traits were highly unusual for an Asian child and DNA testing found she was at least part Eurasian Uyghur and part Yāomó (demon) making her an Ultrahuman. Ninghong proved immune to all poisons, radiation, fire and chemicals which made her useful as a special agent because she could go where most couldn't to carry out assassinations. Sent to rescue civilians from a giant Guàishòu called Dà Kǒnglóng (Big Dinosaur), she would be crushed when the monster stepped on her.

The Cybergirls were involved in the battle and Artisan rescued Ninghong from certain death by teleporting with her back to their hidden Colorado base. When she was released from containment, Ninghong found a lot of effort had gone into saving her life and parts of her body had been replaced by cybernetics. Her unique form of durability makes her invulnerable to a degree, but if injured, she cannot properly heal so that every bone had to be rebuilt and almost every organ. She carried a pair of advanced dragon headed Chuí. a liúxīng chuí (meteor hammer) and a Kanabō that could all strike with explosive force like a flaming meteorite.

She then gained a mystic sword called Sui Riu that was named for a mythical Japanese rain dragon said to make it rain tears of blood when it was in pain. She acquired the weapon from a villain named Hóng Yì and it, in turn, transformed her further with impossibly small dragons wings on her back and under her arms allowing her to leap over great distances. Changing her name to Redwing (aka Hóng Yì), she adopted a dragon persona and learned to use the power of the sword to recreate the weapons she favored without drawing the sword itself. The sword has been absorbed as part of her body and she learned to copy other Cybergirls before her by projecting blades from above each wrist.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

La Rapière (Real Name; Danielle Addams, Hair; Blond, Age; 19, Caucasian Britain) differs from many of the Cybergirls in that she was born with birth defects caused by phocomelia. Her parents expended considerable resources to find the source of the Cybergirls technology. They found Artisan and made her aware of their plight which Mastermind agreed to help them with. While she was in containment, both of her parents were killed in a plane crash with everyone believing she was with them. When she was released, Mastermind helped her to secure her inheritance as an emancipated youth having kept her relatives from gaining the assets while Danielle was in containment.

Needing further enhancement, Danielle returned to containment because her cybernetics were in a more primitive state that could be explained regarding where she had been and why she was now augmented. When she again emerged, she discovered that she possessed the ability to generate an energy sword similar to a rapière, to generate light effects that seem more for entertainment than function and to generate a forcefield around herself which the sword penetrates during battle. Because of her commitments in her private life managing the businesses she inherited, she's only a part-time member of the Cybergirls with all four limbs having been replaced.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Deadly Nightshade (Real Name; Samantha Creed, Hair; Brown, Age; 18, Caucasian American) would meet her end when she was kidnapped, tortured and dumped in the middle of a swamp with cinderblocks tied around her neck. When she was tossed into that dark water, the horror of what she had been forced to endure would give rise to something equally as dark avenging herself upon her would-be killers. The dark powers that brought her back only preserved her as a servant and led her into conflicts with others like the Cybergirls. She used her powers to create dark energy throwing daggers and to manipulate shadows into physical forms which she can then manipulate.

Abandoned in battle against the Cybergirls when she tried to prevent something possessing great power from escaping the Dark Dimension, she knew she was dying. She explained to Artisan how the "dark" within her made her do evil but without it, she would die as her body was too ravaged to survive without it. Taking her to their base, she was placed in containment where the left side of her body would be rebuilt including a single projection blade from her hand which she would use as a stiletto blade. Upon release, she chose the name "Deadly" Nightshade because she jokingly says she doesn't want anyone to think she was a tomato.

She found the darkness still within her and was introduced to people who exorcised the evil seeking to control her without removing the powers it had bestowed upon her. Her darkling powers can disrupt energy when hurled as daggers, allows her to absorb it when used against her and to envelop other creatures weak-willed enough that she can control them. Her ability to absorb light attracts creatures within the Dark Dimension, creatures she fears because they are too powerful to control and that seek release into our world. This is the dimension of horrors wherein dwell the Dark Gods into which she can teleport herself or her astral projections allowing her to learn dark sorcery.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Aresia (Real Name: Aresia Jäger, Hair; Blond, Age; 17, Caucasian German) was always a difficult, combative child. Given a Greek name symbolizing virtue, it seemed more like she was named for Ares the god of war before being diagnosed with ODD allowing for treatment. Seeing the Cybergirls in battle, Aresia rushed in and was cut down by Ragnarök who then transformed her using the powers given to him by Armageddon. Given the name das Schwert (the Sword), she became enslaved to Ragnaröks will until set free by a snipers bullet destroying his control mechanism. Seeking out the Cybergirls, she was still deemed a threat because the control device could eventually repair itself.

Placed within a containment chamber placed away from their hidden base, her cybernetics would be completely replaced to eliminate this possibility and she was released to join the Cybergirls. Unlike the Cybergirls, she did not need cybernetics to survive until Ragnarök basically destroyed parts of her body to recreate her. Her cybernetics allow her to create swords from beneath her wrists that fit into her hands and she wields them as a master of the double blades. If one sword is damaged or destroyed, she can generate new ones by touching metal which she absorbs into her cybernetics to fashion them. She also abandoned the name Ragnarök gave her in favor of her own true name.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Speed Demon (Real Name: Brenda Kurst aka Mach-3, White Lightning, Velocity, Hair; Brown, Age; 15, Caucasian American) discovered her speed powers early in her life and used them to play pranks on others. When she realized these powers could be used for something more, she became a criminal calling herself White Lightning until being shot in the spine by law enforcement. She was now paralyzed from the waist down but her powers accelerated healing and she fled the confines of her home where she was made to feel like a burden. Assuming the identity of Speed Demon and then Velocity, she began evolving more into a hero seeking to rescue people from harm's way.

Where Ultrahumans clashed or disasters happened, she would make herself known trying to save lives. During a battle against the supervillain Reign, she was captured by a villain called la Veuve (the Widow aka Guillotine) and she cruelly cut off Brenda's legs and threw her from a rooftop into the rubble below causing further damage. Rescued by Scarlet, Brenda would be placed into containment where her original legs were reattached. While they had her severed legs, great damage was done to her torso requiring a cybernetic rebuild. Given body armor for protection, her own speed power provided it with the energy it needed to create a forcefield around her and to generate lightning.

The name Mach-3 came from the body armor she wears which was worn by a man who was a hero for several years called Bulletproof before Armageddon killed him because of his sarcastic sense of humor... something Brenda shares with him. Brenda had never seen herself as a hero before now and while she served the Cybergirls loyally, her role was to save civilians and to engage others in battle only when these civilians were safe. While she abhors killing, she has a sword built into her left arm if needed and carries an electrified whip that can deliver an explosive "lightning strike". This whip can be used to "wrap someone up", break free and create a new whip to use on someone else.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hardwired (Real Name; Bénédicte Masson Ensanglante aka Automa, Metalhead, Lovebot Hair; None (wears various wigs), Age; 24, Caucasian American) began existence as an artificial intelligence program created by Mastermind. It was then used to provide the brain for an automaton he had constructed where it continued to develop and he began seeing her as an adopted daughter. He developed an idea which he addressed to Artisan who returned from battle one day with the body of a girl whose head had been all but destroyed. Replacing the head with that of Automa, he placed the body in containment to see what his nanites would make of this.

When she was released, Automa discovered that she could feel sensations unknown to her including pain which she found unpleasant but was excited nonetheless to feel it. The body had been given cybernetic attributes and the head had been given organic properties including brain cells taken from the surviving brain stem of the girl whose body she now possessed. Her lower jaw is also that of the girl and the nanites reproduced the girls face so that Automa appeared more human. Unlike their true daughter Mayhem, Automa gave her "Father" and "Mother" respect while viewing all of the Cybergirls as her sisters.

She gained the name Hardwired because her metal head is hardwired into a human body. Her human name came from a French book called La Poupée Sanglante which centers on a man named Bénédict Masson whose head was placed on the body of an automaton. She can release force beams from her hands and has most of the abilities of the other Cybergirls. The greatest problem she has had is understanding the needs of her new body as she has all human weaknesses including bleeding when her cybernetics tear her flesh. Her nanites heal her flesh so that an entire area of flesh may tear away but it will remain attached to her cybernetics and is repaired when it reattaches.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ultragirl (Real Name; Zánda Ska-Aset, Hair; Red, Age; 18, Pallorian Argyria) is an alien to Earth and the lone survivor of spacecraft that crashed into the Moon. She was returned secretly by Dark Op's operatives on the dark side of the Moon and handed over to Mastermind because of the damage to her body. Placed in containment, the other Cybergirls viewed her as somewhat of an oddity until her release. It would soon be revealed that Ska-Aset was no mere mortal as she possessed superpowers including super strength, the ability to fly, a supersonic scream, invulnerability and the ability to release several forms of energy from her body.

She had been injured only because the metal her ship was created from could inflict such injuries. Returning to her damaged ship, she recovered other items that belonged to her people and departed before Dark Op's could stop her. The nanites in her body were forced to gradually remove the cybernetics as her body regenerated but they remained to create her costume. Her parents had been part of the ruling elite and they were not intending to reach Earth as their target was Mars after their ship became too damaged to continue searching for a new home. Thus, Ska-Aset tends to have a superiority complex and has journeyed to Mars where an earlier colony had established itself before being destroyed.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Nekrós (Real Name; Ann Bishop Faulkner, Hair; Brown. Age; 21, Caucasian American) was an ordinary child living an ordinary life until a series of disappearances took place. When she disappeared, Mach-3 and Deadly Nightshade became involved as there was evil afoot and lives to be saved. Using her powers, Deadly Nightshade reanimated a hound she found lying beside a county road where it had been struck by a car. It would lead them to Ann who was buried within the earth having been crushed by heavy stones... but was still among the living. She would be taken back to the Cybergirls hidden base where she was placed in containment.

Deadly Nightshade would uncover a witches coven called the Satanic Seven who had been created by one of their own kind resurrected by children playing with an ouija board. They served a demon within the Dark Universe called Lythronax and were gaining power by killing the descendants of witches who did not remain faithful to the craft. Ann Bishop Faulkner was descended from not one, but two of the falsely accused who were put to death and the process by which she had been put to death would transform her into a Mandragora, an innocent falsely slain as a witch who becomes a dark witch in death.

Using cybernetics, Ann would be reanimated where most like her survive without decay always reaching out from beyond the grave like a curse upon the living. Because she had been reanimated, she gained the ability to control all this power and released herself to exact vengeance on those who harmed her. Given the name Nekrós, she summoned powers of darkness which she forced to do her bidding for the cause of good. These powers affect probabilities and can warp reality to a lesser degree while possessing powers of necromancy which she is still learning. Her cybernetics are all internal granting her movement and while her mouth is stitched shut, she can speak telepathically.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Vixen (Real Name; Regina Fox aka Vandal, Hair; Brown, Age; 17, Caucasian Australian) was an experiment where Mastermind used Mutagen X241 on a young girl dying from cancer. The cancer had already progressed too far for modern science to save her by normal means but Mutagen X241 had proven an effective treatment because it transformed the mutated cancer cells into the building blocks for change. Regina's body had already endured several surgeries that included the removal of her left leg which would be replaced by cybernetics. Mutagen X241 was always unpredictable because it was only the most stable version of the chemical process developed to date.

When Regina was released from containment, her cancer was gone and she had various vulpine attributes that pleased her to no end. Fox's are similar to cats in many ways so that she possesses superior climbing abilities, night vision, and retractable razor-sharp claws. But she also has the ability to sense things within Earth's magnetic field that others cannot see. Her abilities where magnetism are concerned go further than that having the ability to wield powers of magnetism that includes the ability to create armor and weapons. Her right foot was adapted to be like her left in that she walks on her toes with five razor-sharp claws on her toes which work well with her skills at kickboxing.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Babydoll (Real Name; Holly Masters aka Hollywood, Hair; Brown, Age; 22, Caucasian British) was always an inquisitive child whose father was a police investigator for Scotland Yard and her mother was an investigative reporter for The Sun. It was a given that she was going to grow up to follow in their footsteps until a building collapse during one of the Cybergirls battles with a group of villains called UK Ultra. As rescuers removed the injured and the dead from the rubble, Artisan found the girl abandoned to with a sheet over her left for dead as all her vital signs were gone. Detecting life still within her, Artisan spirited her away to be placed in containment at the Cybergirls hidden base.

When she first emerged, she assumed the identity Hollywood because she had always been a fan of old Hollywood movies and crime reporting. She designed her character accordingly to look like a 1930's film noir starlet. Unfortunately, her career with the Cybergirls was cut short while she was rescuing bystanders from a terrorist bombing by using her own body as a shield. Returned to her containment chamber for a long rebuild, Mastermind created a toy which he used part of her own body to build and Holly found she could astral project her mind into it. The doll was fully cybernetic with the ability to teleport which she would use to spy and record information with.

She would also use a series of specialized toys designed for her generally fashioned after military machines like tanks, airplanes and so forth. She loves toy racecars and riding robotic animals but especially enjoys riding inside full-sized android bodies where she envisions herself as the pilot of a giant mecha. When she was released as Hollywood, she preferred using weapons and devices tailored to a 1950's look. As Babydoll, she serves as the driver of military toys that possess devastating firepower in excess of their diminutive size. Each of the mecha she controls has a different set of powers and devices built into them and when not inside them or her toys, she often rides the shoulder of one of the other Cybergirls into battle.
