    New Daz Contest/Challenge Rules-04/01/2014

    DAZ Challenge General Rules:
    1. must use a daz3d software created, sold by daz3d to create your image.
    Daz Studio,Bryce,-Carrara
The purpose is to focus on the DAZ software.

    2.Plug ins-
may be used only if created by Daz or sold on the daz site-and used within the software program, and its included render engine, not an export plug in to an external software.

    LuxRender- http://www.luxrender.net/en_GB/index
    Reality Plugin- http://preta3d.com
    OctaneRender- http://render.otoy.co
    Are NOT ALLOWED

The reason for this is to push you "us" to get the most out of the software program and its render engine that you can.
And in keeping the participants on an even level of play on the field so to speak.
You'll feel a lot better in the end knowing you can do it ...without plugins to external software.

hair plugins- are allowed as there used within the software and rendered with the software engine.

if we learn submitions were done in a non DAZ program for this specific challenge they will be disqualified and not allowed to participate in the future.

    3.Postwork -
can only be done with what is availabe within the software, ie studios render editor.
    What is the Render Album/Editor?
The DAZ Studio Render Album provides a means of storing recent image renders in an album format which can then be loaded into the Render Editor to perform various editing functions on the image. The editor provides options for blending two images, color adjustment, image comparison, and applying filters without having to open a separate paint program.
    http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/artzo...zstudio/readme
As this is included with studio.

items that can actually be done with a prop or shader in ds can not be done with postwork......ie, hair, magick sparkles, lighting, fog, ect...
(created items in paint and appled to a plane in the image before render is not postwork)

You may however apply your siggie, watermark to the image after rendering..

    4. a min. of at least 1 daz item currently on the site for free/sale must be used.
(place this info in the description area of your uploaded entry)

5.All images must be new and original for this contest

Images may not be reposted anywhere else until the contest ends unless the following exceptions are adhered to..
    A) A provided watermark is included on the image
    B) Links to the contest are included in the description
    C) Details to promote the contest are included
(Note* As long as you promote the contest and link to it you should be ok)

6.ONLY 3 IMAGES (Entries) Per Person

7.Deadline will be "Midnight" Central Standard Time at the end of every month

8.Members of the DreamslayerArtworks team are allowed to enter all competitions - the DSA Team are volunteers and are thus, members of the general DreamslayerArtworks community

9.Sponsors of DSA and DR may enter

Is resizing a pic allowed or is that also classed as postwork?. If so I'll have to delete and resubmit my entries. Lol.

Thankyou so much, glad I found this, I went into this challenge not finding guidelines on the entries. Be easier to get this done the right way the next one I do.
