    Note: - God Rays.

    I have found alternate methods to obtain this effect without having to purchase third party products.
    The simplest is to use primitives, either a plane, sphere, or cone shaped prim. Then apply a texture map to both the diffuse and glossiness and another to the opacity channels. This usually with lighting and depth-of-field camera tweaks can give some excellent results.

    Another is to learn to use the Uber-Environment tools provided with DS4, as they can provide you with excellent effects and plenty of adjustments that you can personalise for various scenes.
