We are considering doing more of this in the future for worthy causes like helping animals and charities to help people so our artists get a chance to show they care.

I want to thank all of you who contributed as This is an extremely worthy cause because when the rhino's are gone, we may have the technology to bring them back... but nothing will stop the ignorance that kills them off in the first place except the threat of even worse things happening to those who kill the rhino's. No one wants it to go that far but as one hunter who supports hunting recently put it... there's billions of people in China and only a few thousand rhino's when totaled, who is more deserving or in need of being shot out of ignorance!?

Cold and cruel but maybe that hunter has a point no matter how wrong it may sound as isn't it just as true that it's their ignorant desire for rhino horns... something made out of the same things as toenail clippings... that is the cause behind this needless insane slaughter?

Sir Richard Branson has added his voice:
    http://www.virgin.com/richard-branso...ave-the-rhinos

South Africa has effectively ended the practice of issuing permits to Vietnamese pseudo "hunters", through new "norms and standards" that disallows hunters from countries that do not have established hunting laws and trophy handling regulations (Vietnam being one).
Deep insights have reached the 175 representatives of CITES. Voices are being heard all over the planet. Add yours. Time to tell it like it is:

Extract: "unfortunately greed and corruption won the day and brisk trade opened up between poaching syndicates and criminal elements. This has lead to rhino horn being considered as an investment commodity and the market has been grown to the extent that the street value of rhino horn is now approx. $65,000 a kilogram, more expensive than gold or cocaine. The illegal trade of rhino horn is worth approx. US$20 Billion per year and is considered to be the third most lucrative criminal trade in the world. There are indications that Investment syndicates are accumulating rhino horn in an attempt to "corner the market"...
... considering trade in rhino horn is illegal internationally and banned by China for use in TCM since 1993, one wonders why farmers / ranchers in South Africa were getting involved in the trade of rhinos and rhino horn... and the tempation to convert these into cash has lead to the perpetuation of the idea of legal horn trade....

Your voices are being heard. See, enough people getting involved can make a difference.

Don't give up yet DSA'ers as this fight isn't over and there are many other causes where endangered wildlife is concerned.

We all know it wasn't us alone who did this but you are part of it and it is something you can be very VERY proud of. You are artists and you used your art to help a very worthy cause.

Thank you all and if you haven't contributed yet, get those render engines going and let's see some more rhino images.

When we had apartheid in the early 90's, the world boycotted us to change.
So now with our new government, it seems it's gonna happen again, if the government (who don't care) about the rhinos, is not gonna get their act together...
